Metroid Dread?
Apparently that is the title of an upcoming DS game from Nintendo. The game was first mentioned in Game Informer magazine, but has since vanished from the gaming world. Word on the street is that news of the game was released too early by accident, and Nintendo is holding back the reigns now. It looks like the title is true, and there is another 2d Metroid game coming to the DS. For now Metroid fans can rejoice, but you're probably going to have to wait awhile to hear anything more on the game!

Hooray! I was pretty bummed out when Metroid Dread was a no-show at the E3, as I prefer my Metroids in 2D. After Zero Mission was so good, I was disspointed to see the straight shooter action they were doing for the DS. Can't wait to hear more of this!
i agree with you toad64. although i love metroid prime i am not thrilled about hunters. it gives me a headache to play that demo. a 2d metroid on the ds has such great potential...
