IGN loves making mockups
The Revolution controller will be battery powered. The Revolution controller will need to have batteries replaced, or there will have to be some sort of charging station. IGN has made their own mockup for just such an item. Have a peak below.

I believe Nintendo will offer a device you plug into the bottom that will still allow you to plug in another peripheral below it while charging via the GC ports on the console.
