*RUMOR* Next-gen Sonic to be announced this week?

Looks like we might have an official announcement of the next generation Sonic game by the end of this week. The rumor is that on Sept. 9th Sega will officially announce work on a new Sonic game for next generation systems. Following that news, on Sept 16th at the Tokyo Game Show, Sega will show off an official trailer for the game. While a fuzzy, out of focus trailer was leaked onto the net from E3 last year, it still proved that work was full steam ahead on a next gen Sonic. Keep an eye out later this week to see if Sega drops the Sonic bomb.
