Geist Lan Games are a Dirty Lie!

See this is the problem with people that write for game magazines/websites. Often times writers are given a tiny bit of information, and then when the writer actually gets to writing a story, they take that information and build upon it. Then we are left with some false information, or left wondering what is true and whats not. So is the case with Geist. Apparently, almost all of the reviewers out there heard that Geist had 8 player games. Without asking anyone about how the 8 players would be done, they just figured it would be through the GameCube broadband adapter. Sites guilty of this are Gamespot, IGN, 1UP, and a few others. Then there are the independant game sites, like this one. I do all I can to scrap together the news thats out there and bring it to you guys in a nice little blog style. Having just started out with my own site, it isn't exactly easy, or even possible for me to get exclusives to talk about, well not possible yet. Lets hope that changes as the site grows! ANYway, the real story is that Geist is a 4 player game, but you can add in 4 bots making it an 8 player game. I am actually a little dissapointed that the major game sites out there didn't do a little detective work before they jumped onto the LAN idea. When I first read it I was surprised that the feature was in there, since there are about 2 titles out there that officially use the broadband adapter. Well, now the secret is out, and N-Space had to make an official statement about it as to not entice customers with false features. Well at least we still get some 8 player action by way of bots, and I had a hell of a lot of fun with bots back in the Perfect Dark days. Sorry to everyone about the false information.
